Our cottage sleeps four in two double bedrooms, with an additional one or two guests accommodated on a double futon in a third small bedroom. The property includes a homely lounge with recliner seats, Freeview TV and DVD facilities and in the kitchen we've included all essentials and added a dishwasher to save you time. A large shower room features a double shower cubicle, heated towel rail and shaver socket, and towels are available to hire for a small charge.
Whitby is probably best known for being where Bram Stoker set and wrote the novel Dracula, it is also well known for being the starting port for Captain Cooks voyage to Australia.
Other attractions in Whitby include the ruined Abbey overlooking the sea with its 199 steps leading up to it and its ghost walks.
Steam trains also run from Whitby Station to Pickering, Grosmont and Goathland (Where the Heartbeat series was filmed).
Please note that as Lupine Cottage is located in the town centre, there are a few pubs within a short distance, plus the inevitable street cleaning, bin lorries and deliveries, so there may be a little noise at times.
Restricted parking (1 hour) is available immediately outside the cottage, further unrestricted parking is available within a short walk. Or 4 or 2 day in town parking permits are available on request for a small fee.
The cottage is smoke-free, though we provide an ash tray if you'd like to smoke outside.
Unfortunately, we are unable to accept pets.
Due to the amount of stairs, Lupine Cottage can be unsuitable for the elderly or infirm, an access statement can be viewed via the link at the bottom of the page.
We're happy to offer a £20 discount to guests bringing their own linen (Duvets, mattress protectors and pillows are still provided).
For families with a young child we'll be able to provide use of a cot, a high-chair and a play pen, and for all we provide free use of a cabled broadband and wireless internet connection.
We ask all guests to note that we take a £50 fully refundable security bond to cover damage repairs if necessary. Please email now or call us any evening for more information, or get in touch to book your stay.
